Have Newsletters Gone the Way of the Dodo? 3 Q’s to Build a Better Email!
October 22, 2015

Welcome to the new home of Heeren Content & Strategy! If you’re looking for small business tips, resources, and highlights; you’ve come to the right place! If you’re a non-profit founder or manager/director, we’ve got a lot of great features in store for you as well!

Before we begin, I’d like to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Erika Heeren; and I am the founder, president, and lead content strategist for Heeren Content & Strategy. I started this company with the vision of helping small businesses compete in challenging markets with stellar content at a fair price.

My Credentials

So, what makes me the expert? I am a twelve-year marketing veteran. I established my first public relations department for a non-profit at 18 years old, and have never looked back since. I’ve worked in radio, print journalism, graphic/web design, and Internet marketing with the intent to build a solid level of applied expertise in content development across multiple mediums.

My work has been featured in such places as the Mat-Su Frontiersman, the Alaska State Fair, the Mat-Su Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Colorado State University – Global Campus, as well as a myriad of small business websites and advertisements. My work has covered a variety of topics ranging from financial planning, business features, home repair, wedding planning, fitness, retail, technology, and even Alaska’s Last Great Race: The Iditarod.

What Does That Mean For Your Business?

At Heeren Content & Strategy, you aren’t just hiring a writer; you’re hiring an experienced marketer. Every piece of content that passes my desk is reinforced with research, analytics, your goals, and most importantly, your perfect customer in mind.

In my experience with small business owners, many find themselves too overwhelmed with the running of the business to spend much time on the specifics of marketing. For example, how is that blog going? You know, the one you started a year ago and swore that you would post weekly? Is it collecting dust after a few well-intentioned efforts? Too many times I’ve seen entrepreneurs stop posting on their blog altogether, or hand the task over to a member of the administrative staff.

Does This Sound Familiar?

I’d like to offer you another option. Instead of handing the task over to an inexperienced colleague, put your best foot forward by hiring Heeren Content & Strategy!

We’ll take the time to get to know your business and the audience you need to reach. Then, we’ll research your demographic and put together strategically written copy for your website, press release, blog, or social media.

Our services are diverse, and our prices are competitive. I’ve structured HCS specifically for the small business client. If you’re ready for a quote, email Erika@heerencontentstrategy.com and let’s get started!

What’s Next?

Even if you’re not ready to hire a content strategist just yet, we welcome you to follow our blog! We’ll be covering topics like marketing, public relations, and business planning. I’ll also be featuring experts in such areas as accounting, law, and human resources. Think of this blog as your entrepreneurial cheerleader; we’re here to keep you motivated and help you succeed!

Non-profit followers: we’ll be covering issues like fundraising, grant writing, crowdfunding, event planning, and more! I’d also like to invite any non-profit directors who would like to guest blog for me; I’d love to give you a free shout-out!

Keeping In Touch

Again, thank you for stopping by and I personally welcome you to Heeren Content & Strategy.

Wishing the best for you & your business,

Erika Heeren
